Over the last month or so there has been some quality browns caught and released back into the Eucumbene river the first big run was the best I have seen here in the last 20 years . When your guiding and the fish are there in big numbers it a real buzz to put the client in the right spot and to land that fish of a life time.
There was some good fish landed over the weekend but the river level is getting low and the next run of fish is just waiting to move into the river and when that rain comes the wave of fish that will move into the river maybe bigger than the first run .
If this does happen a lot fish end up being foul hooked these fish must go back into the river as it is illegal to keep a jagged or foul hooked fish no matter how big it is the hook must be infront of the gills.
Hopefully this rain will be here before the river closure midnight 11th June.
