What a great trip

As you can see from the footage below had some great fishing on the South Island . The Rakaia River had a big flood 4 weeks earlier and no water since so the Salmon had moved in I think the group landed around 11 in the 2 days we were there all fish were over that 10lb mark and the biggest was around 22lbs all were returned back to the river . Also landed some quality Rainbow a lot smaller off course. Had some of the best fishing yet at Lake Brunner and the weather was perfect for spotting Trout. Then it was off too Mc Kenzie country the rivers in this area are hard to beat and the weather is always reasonably dry the Cicada fishing on these rivers is legendary when the right weather is around hot and windy is what you want and that’s what we got as you can see by the footage above finished the trip off on the Rakaia just had to go back for these Salmon . Enjoy
